Job Description:

We have a brand-new opportunity for an Electrical Associate/Associate Director to join our established specialist team within our successful MEP division based in either our Cardiff or London offices.

It's an exciting time to join the team – we have a proven track record of managing data centre projects across the UK and are now looking to expand our team and take on larger projects. You will have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art data centre projects that drive the future of technology, expand your skill set, and progress your career.

Your role will include:

You will play a critical part in the planning, design, and maintenance of world-class data centres. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and Planning: Collaborate with senior engineers to contribute to the electrical design of data centres, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
  • Project Support: Assist in project management tasks, such as creating project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct analyses, calculations, and simulations to optimize data center performance and energy efficiency.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality control to ensure electrical systems meet standards.
  • Maintenance: Develop maintenance strategies to ensure ongoing reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Compliance: Stay updated with industry codes and standards to ensure project adherence.

Our Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) division:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
  • Proven experience as an Associate/Associate Director or Electrical Engineer with leadership in data centre projects.
  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Bachelors, or Masters).
  • Chartered status or working towards it.
  • Knowledge of BIM, Review, IES, and other design software.
  • Understanding of current building regulations and sustainable design principles.
