Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd in Blackpool is seeking an Electrical AM2 Assessor. The role offers full training to gain the assessor qualification, with potential to obtain teaching qualifications if desired.

Responsibilities

• Carry out practical AM2 assessments, ensuring apprentices meet industry standards.

• Support and guide candidates throughout their assessments.
• Ensure assessments are completed accurately and in line with industry requirements.
• Monday to Thursday focused on assessments, Fridays for administration.
• Full-time, permanent position, 37 hours per week.

Are you an Electrician with strong hands-on industry experience, an Electrical Gold Card and 18th Edition?

Do you want to step away from the tools and move into a rewarding role where you can pass on your knowledge, assess the next generation of Electrical professionals and help ensure apprentices are ready for the industry?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing AM2 assessment centre as a Trainer, where you will be responsible for assessing the practical competencies of electrical apprentices before they progress into industry. Full training and support towards gaining your assessor qualification will be provided, alongside the opportunity to gain teaching qualifications if required.

You will play an important role in maintaining industry standards, ensuring apprentices have the skills and knowledge required to become competent electricians. The centre is also looking to expand, offering excellent long-term progression opportunities, including the potential to move into a Centre Manager position.

This role would suit an experienced Electrician who is looking for a change from industry and wants to use their practical knowledge in a more rewarding career, without the need for previous teaching or assessing experience.

The Role

The Person

• Relevant Electrical qualification and strong industry experience
• Holds an Electrical Gold Card
• 18th Edition qualification

• Strong practical knowledge of electrical installation and industry standards
• Looking to move away from hands-on electrical work into a training and assessment role
• Previous teaching or assessing experience is not essential as full training will be provided
