Job summary

Matchtech in Northolt is seeking an Electrical Trainer & Assessor to deliver electrical training and assessments. This permanent, full-time role (Mon-Fri, 8:00-16:30) offers clear development pathways and incremental pay as you broaden qualifications.

You will support learners, conduct exams to awarding body requirements, manage learner paperwork, and coordinate with centre teams to ensure smooth delivery. Desirable teaching/assessor qualifications and current electrical industry experience are

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification (or industry-recognised equivalent).
• City & Guilds 2382 wiring regulations.
• Desirable: Inspection & Testing qualifications, PAT testing (C&G 2377).
• Advantageous: teaching/assessor qualifications (PTLLS/AET, A1/D32/TAQA, IQA/V1/D34).
• Ability to deliver engaging training sessions to groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical training and assessment within your competency areas.
• Support learners throughout their course and monitor progress.
• Conduct assessments/exams to awarding organisation requirements and provide feedback.
• Maintain accurate, confidential learner paperwork.
• Liaise with centre management and customer services to support delivery.
• Support course development, materials, and upkeep of resources.
• Invigilate exams and participate in professional discussions as needed.
• Promote the centre’s course offering and maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver electrical training and assessment within your competency areas


• Support learners throughout their course, monitoring progress and helping ensure timely completion


• Conduct assessments/exams to awarding organisation requirements, mark promptly and provide feedback


• Maintain accurate, organised and confidential learner paperwork


• Liaise with colleagues across centre management, scheduling and customer services to support smooth course delivery


• Support course development, training materials and upkeep of technical resources


• Invigilate exams and handle professional discussions/oral questioning where required


• Promote the centre's course offering and maintain high service standards

Key skills and experience

• Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification (or industry-recognised equivalent)


• City & Guilds 2382 (Wiring Regulations)


• Strong, current electrical industry experience and confidence delivering to groups


• Desirable: Inspection & Testing qualifications


• Desirable: C&G 2377 (PAT Testing)


• Advantageous: teaching (PTLLS/AET), assessor (A1/D32/TAQA), IQA/Internal Verifier (V1/D34) qualifications
