Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting an Electrical Assembly Technician near Bristol. You will build systems and sub-assemblies for complex projects, wiring and soldering, and ensure BOM and customer specifications are met.

You will troubleshoot build problems and report technical issues, contributing to 5S initiatives and continuous improvement. We are seeking time-served electricians or holders of appropriate electrical qualifications, with experience in electrical fitting/assembly, lead-free

Qualifications

• Time served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent
• Experience in electrical fitting/assembly
• Lead-free soldering
• Panel wiring to schematics
• Ability to read electrical drawings
• Fault finding and corrective action

Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically minded assembly technician to join a well renowned and growing company based on the outskirts of Bristol. You will work on a wide variety of projects, helping assembly complex systems for multiple applications and sectors. You will be an experienced solderer and welder and enjoy working on intricate projects.

The Role:

• Building systems and sub-assemblies for complex systems.
• Ensuring that the requirements of the BOM and the customer specification are achieved.
• Identify and resolve build problems.
• Reporting technical issues.
• Wiring and soldering.
• Support and promote 5S initiatives.
• Cooperate with Continuous Improvement principles.

What we are looking for:

• Time served Electrical apprenticeship OR City and Guilds part 3, or HND, HNC, or BTech level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in an electrical fitting/assembly position.
• Lead‑free soldering.
• Panel wiring to schematics.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Ability to fault find and implement corrective action.
