Job summary

Technique-Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician in Beccles for a 14-week temporary role, working 39 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

You will install, wire and pipe electrical, electronic and pneumatic components, test systems, and carry out corrections. Safety and experience with industrial electrical systems are essential.

The position offers hands-on work in an automation engineering environment with a focus on quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrical fitter.
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
• Ability to use electrical tools and read electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Installation of electrical components and wiring per schematic diagrams.
• Installation of pneumatic components and pipework per pneumatics diagrams.
• Prepare and assemble cable and pipeways, bracketing and support systems.
• Connect electrical circuits and networks; perform pre-commissioning tests.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine inspection.
• Diagnostics to identify hazards or malfunctions; repair or replace components.

Electrical Assembly Technician

Temporary: 14-weeks. Hours: 39 hours - Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:00 and Friday 07:30 - 15:00. Location: Beccles.

Our client is a leading automation engineering company that designs and manufactures bespoke machinery and production systems for a range of global manufacturing sectors. Their solutions help customers streamline processes, increase output and maintain the highest standards of quality and reliability.

We are looking for experience Electrical Assembly Technicians to undertake a variety of tasks relating to the installation, wiring, and piping of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components, forming complex control systems for automation machinery. This includes checking and testing completed systems and carrying out corrections and repairs. Due to the risks pertaining to this job, candidates must be first and foremost responsible individuals with good attention to safety precautions. The ideal person must also be experienced in different kinds of electrical equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Installation of electrical components and wiring in accordance with schematic diagrams.
• Installation of pneumatic components, pipework, and equipment in accordance with pneumatics diagrams.
• Preparation and assembly of cable and pipe ways, bracketing and support systems.
• Connection of electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components. Carrying out pre-commissioning checks and testing.
• Preventative maintenance of systems by routine inspection.
• Performing effective diagnostics to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace damaged components.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an electrical fitter.
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
• Ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and follow electrical and pneumatic schematic diagrams and drawings.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Good health, physically mobile and happy and able to work in a variety of industrial environments.
• Relevant vocational training or completion of an apprenticeship as an electrician.
