Job summary

Hales Group Ltd has an opportunity for an Electrical Assembly Technician in Beccles, Suffolk. The role involves building bespoke automation and specialist machinery, wiring from schematics, testing and fault finding of electrical and pneumatic systems.

Working from electrical drawings, you will assemble, wire, install and test components, supporting installation and commissioning as needed. This full-time, temporary position lasts up to 6 months with overtime at enhanced rates.

Qualifications

• Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with electrical test equipment and hand tools.
• Good understanding of electrical safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Electrical assembly and wiring of machinery and control systems.
• Installing and connecting electrical and pneumatic components.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Panel wiring, cable routing and termination work.
• Testing, inspection and pre-commissioning checks.
• Fault finding and rectification of electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Supporting machine installation and commissioning activities when required.
• Working to quality, safety and production standards.
