Job summary

Barking & Dagenham College is seeking an Apprenticeship Manager - Electrical to lead its Electrical Apprenticeship provision for a fixed 12‑month period. You will oversee Trainer Coaches and Lecturers, drive curriculum innovation, ensure quality outcomes and maintain strong employer relationships.

You will manage EPA readiness, sustain high teaching standards and coordinate with awarding bodies. A recognised teaching qualification, IQA and EPA expertise are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent) required.
• Assessor and IQA qualifications preferred.
• Level 3 Electrical subject specialism.
• Experience leading FE college apprenticeship teams and staff development.
• Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards, EPA and QA processes.
• Experience working with awarding organisations and quality improvement planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for Electrical Apprenticeship provision.
• Lead a team of Trainer Coaches and Apprenticeship Lecturers.
• Drive curriculum innovation, quality improvement and employer engagement.
• Oversee EPA readiness and End Point Assessment processes.
• Monitor learner progress, retention and employer satisfaction; implement interventions.
• Manage resources, staffing, timetabling and delivery planning.
