Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking an Apprenticeship Trainer to support apprentices across learning and workplace environments within Canterbury. You will assess progress, provide guidance and contribute to QA activities, aligning with high standards of quality and compliance.

The role requires experience in training and assessment, a proactive approach to improvement, and willingness to achieve assessor and verifier qualifications.

Qualifications

• Hold, or be willing to work towards, an Assessor qualification such as D32/D33, A1 or the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
• Hold, or be willing to work towards, an Internal Verifier qualification such as D34, V1 or the Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
• Have experience of supporting training, assessment and development across a variety of contexts.
• Be confident setting and achieving challenging improvement targets, with a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes.
• Be highly organised, with the ability to manage priorities and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and assessing apprentices across a range of learning and workplace environments.
• Working with apprentices and employers to ensure progress towards successful and timely completion.
• Providing assessment guidance, reviews and support through drop-in sessions, telephone and email contact.
• Adapting your approach to ensure training and assessment are delivered in the most effective way for each apprentice and employer.
• Building positive relationships with apprentices, employers and colleagues.
• Contributing to Internal Quality Assurance activities where required.
