Job summary

EKC Training is seeking an Electrical Apprenticeship Trainer to inspire and develop the next generation of electricians at our Canterbury campus. You will assess apprentices in varied environments, supporting progress and maintaining high standards of training and assessment.

The role emphasizes quality assurance, strong organisation, and collaboration with employers and learners to achieve timely apprenticeship completion.

Qualifications

• Hold, or be willing to work towards, an Assessor qualification such as D32/D33, A1 or the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
• Hold, or be willing to work towards, an Internal Verifier qualification such as D34, V1 or the Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
• Have experience of supporting training, assessment and development across a variety of contexts.
• Be confident setting and achieving challenging improvement targets, with a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and assessing apprentices across a range of learning and workplace environments.
• Working with apprentices and employers to ensure progress towards successful and timely completion.
• Providing assessment guidance, reviews and support through drop-in sessions, telephone and email contact.
• Adapting your approach to ensure training and assessment are delivered in the most effective way for each apprentice and employer.
• Building positive relationships with apprentices, employers and colleagues.
• Contributing to Internal Quality Assurance activities where required.
