Centre People Appointments is seeking an Application Engineer to support sales activities across the UK and international markets in a hybrid role. You will act as a technical liaison, delivering product presentations and demos, and translating customer needs into effective solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and experience in pre-sales or sales engineering. UK driving licence required; salary around £40,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Solution Engineer, Pre-Sales, Sales Engineer or similar technical customer-facing role.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Commercial awareness and interest in supporting sales activities.
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team with technical expertise and customer engagement activities.
• Deliver product presentations, demonstrations and technical briefings to customers.
• Understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, respond to product enquiries and support issue resolution.
• Visit customer sites to investigate technical or application issues and provide recommendations.
• Act as a point of contact for complex customer queries and escalations.
• Support customer onboarding, product training and technical implementation.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective solution delivery.
