Thames Water is seeking an Electrical and Mechanical Technician to join the Mill Green (Hatfield) team. You will focus on electrical maintenance and carry out front-line maintenance on sewage pumping stations across Hertfordshire, working in multi-disciplinary teams.
The role requires a time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering, strong fault-finding skills, IT literacy, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive, safety-focused approach.
We have an exciting opportunity for a career-minded person to join our Mill Green (Hatfield) team as an Electrical and Mechanical Technician.
Focused mainly on electrical maintenance, you will be required to perform a range of assigned front-line maintenance/operational activities on our sewage pumping stations in the Hertfordshire area.
Working in multi-disciplinary teams that are responsible for carrying out scheduled, unscheduled and emergency maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact, and you will be actively helping to reduce pollution from our sites and networks.
Base Location: Mill Green (Hatfield), AL9 5PE
Working hours: 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 3:36 pm. Additionally, you will be included in a 1-week in every 6-week out-of-hours emergency standby rota, for which you receive additional payments.
You should be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or with NVQ or C&G level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering.
