Electrical and Mechanical Fitter Required

Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

£36,000 starting salary - negotiable DOE

Full-time, permanent position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Mechanical fitter with experience working with plant hire machinery. Our client specializes in renting out plant equipment to the construction and agriculture industries. You will join an established company, managing plant hire equipment ranging from small air compressors to dumper trucks and excavators. The role requires working at the local branch and on-site at customer premises, so a full driving license is essential due to travel requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Repair, service, and inspect plant equipment and machinery both on customer sites and within the depot.
2. Service, repair, and diagnose faults in equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
3. Adhere to company procedures and ISO9001 quality standards.
4. Comply with PUWER and LOLER regulations.

Experience:

To qualify for this role, candidates should have:

• At least five years of experience as a plant machine fitter.
• Knowledge of brands such as JCB, John Deere, Hamm, and Doosan.
• Strong understanding of engineering, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Qualifications in plant maintenance, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or within a small team.
• A full UK driving license.
