Job summary

Stonetech Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Sudbury to recruit an Electrical Assembler.

As an Electrical Assembler, you'll assemble, wire and test electrical control panels to a high standard in a clean, modern production environment. This role offers a temporary to permanent contract, four‑day week, and an immediate start with an attractive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly or panel building.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient with hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical control panels, cabinets and enclosures to engineering specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Install and wire components including PLCs, relays, contactors and circuit breakers.
• Carry out cable preparation, crimping, stripping and termination.
• Complete point‑to‑point and continuity testing to ensure quality and functionality.
• Inspect completed assemblies to meet company quality standards.

Electrical Assembler

Location: Sudbury, Suffolk

Hours: Monday to Thursday | 06:30 - 17:00 (Four‑day working week)

Salary: £14.00 - £16.50+ per hour (DOE)

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

The Role

As an Electrical Assembler, you'll be responsible for assembling, wiring and testing electrical control panels to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical control panels, cabinets and enclosures to engineering specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Install and wire components including PLCs, relays, contactors, circuit breakers and terminal blocks.
• Carry out cable preparation, crimping, stripping and termination.
• Complete point‑to‑point and continuity testing to ensure quality and functionality.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet company quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area while following health and safety procedures.

About You

• Has previous experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or panel building (preferred).
• Can confidently read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Is competent using hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.
• Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing high‑quality work.
• Is reliable, punctual and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Has a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
