Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Control Panel Builder, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
• Industrial electrical experience preferred (not residential).
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Confident with panel wiring, cable routing and component layout.
• Quality inspections and ability to spot defects to tolerances.
• Able to work repetitively and accurately to schedules.
• Good teamwork and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small components (PLCs, relays, contactors, drives, terminal blocks) from schematics.
• Use hand and power tools to meet production and quality targets.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and layout drawings accurately.
• Build control panels containing 5 to 100 cables as required.
• Wiring and assembling systems within conveyor machinery.
• Ensure compliance with safety and customer specifications.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and adhere to H&S regulations.

Electrical Assembler - Temporary Immediate start available

Corby - Northamptonshire UK

£14 per hour

Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 Friday 07:30 - 13:30

We are looking for a skilled electrical assembler to join our clients engineering team. Due to the nature of this position, candidates are required to be resident in the Corby or local area with Right to Work Documentation in place as this is a role with an immediate start.

The Role

A typical day will involve the following

• Assemble small components including PLCs, relays, contactors, drives, and terminal blocks into finished products reading from schematic and blueprints.
• Use hand tools and power tools and precise manual skills to meet production and quality targets.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Building control panels which can contain anything from 5 to 100 cables.
• Wiring an assembling intricate systems within conveyor machinery
• Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, and customer specification requirements.
• Housekeeping of workshop area, ensuring all H&S regulations are always adhered to

Experience and Skills

• Proven experience as a Control Panel Builder, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
• Have previously worked within an electrical engineering role (industrial electrics not residential)
• Have manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematic and blueprints
• Confident with panel wiring, cable routing, and component layout.
• Quality inspections, spotting visual defects, measuring to exact tolerances, and catching failed units..
• Repetitive concentration, the capacity to work quickly and accurately on repetitive tasks without losing focus.
• Good team player with a positive, proactive attitude to workload and comfortable working to schedules with a passion to produce high quality products.
