Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover in Wolverhampton is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support stator manufacturing and EDU production at the Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable processes and improve quality, efficiency and cost targets.

The role involves leading equipment procurement, defining processes and metrology, and driving continuous improvement across global EDU operations in a high-technology environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Manufacturing Process Engineering experience in a production environment with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Audits and Critical Characteristics.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality systems; ability to analyse and interpret process and quality data using SAP, QDAS, Engineering Workstation and similar tools.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and GD&T; CAD tools such as CATIA V5.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement, delivery and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and assembly systems for hairpin forming, pressing, welding and final assembly.
• Define and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, metrology and line-side gauging to meet design, quality and production needs.
• Support daily production challenges with rapid issue resolution to hit key metrics.
• Develop and standardise manufacturing processes, procedures and engineering strategies for deployment globally.
• Drive feasibility activities, identifying issues early and implementing long-term solutions.
• Introduce innovative manufacturing technologies to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost.
• Lead continuous improvement across investment efficiency, process capability, cost, robustness and documentation.
