Job summary

Tiro Associates Ltd. in Corby, Northamptonshire, is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to keep production equipment at peak performance. Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer with electrical or mechanical bias.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Engineering are required.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment.
• Supporting production teams to maximise equipment performance.
• Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery, HMIs and automated systems.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Working safely and ensuring all maintenance activities meet food manufacturing and health & safety standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights (Monday-Friday) + 1 in 4 Weekend On-Call

The Role

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining production equipment to maximise reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment.
• Supporting production teams to maximise equipment performance.
• Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery, HMIs and automated systems.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.

You'll ideally have:

• Apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical bias).
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Engineering.
• Experience within a food, FMCG or other fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA or DCS systems.
• Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a close-kniter engineering team.

Desirable experience includes:

• 18th Edition Electrical qualification.
• HNC/HND in Engineering.
• NEBOSH or IOSH.
• CompEx certification.
• CHP or ETP experience.
