Job summary

Tiro Contracts is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain production equipment, maximise reliability and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault-find electrical/mechanical issues, and work with PLC-controlled systems to optimise performance.

The role requires apprentice-trained background with electrical or mechanical bias, NVQ3/City & Guilds in Engineering, and experience in FMCG

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical bias).
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Engineering.
• Experience within a food, FMCG or other fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA or DCS systems.
• Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit engineering team.

Responsibilities

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights (Monday-Friday) + 1 in 4 Weekend On-Call

The Role

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining production equipment to maximise reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

You'll ideally have:

• Apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical bias).
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Engineering.

Desirable experience includes:

• 18th Edition Electrical qualification.
• HNC/HND in Engineering.
• NEBOSH or IOSH.
• CompEx certification.
• CHP or ETP experience.
