Job summary

Tiro Associates Ltd is assisting a global manufacturing business in Corby to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. The successful candidate will maintain production equipment, diagnose faults and support continuous improvement across the site.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, work with PLCs/HMIs/SCADA, and ensure safety, reliability and CMMS record-keeping in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained multiskilled engineer with electrical or mechanical bias.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Engineering.
• Experience in a food/FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA or DCS systems.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventive and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
• Supporting production teams to maximise equipment performance.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment. Supporting production teams to maximise equipment performance. Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery, HMIs and automated systems. Maintaining accurate maintenance records using a CMMS. Identifying opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime. Working safely and ensuring all maintenance activities meet food manufacturing and health & safety standards. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.You'll ideally have:Apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical bias). NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Engineering. Experience within a food, FMCG or other fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills. Experience working with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA or DCS systems. Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques. A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit engineering team.Desirable experience includes:18th Edition Electrical qualification. HNC/HND in Engineering. NEBOSH or IOSH. CompEx certification.
