Job summary

Keoghs LLP is seeking a Claims Handler to manage a caseload of EL/PL delegated authority fixed fee cases from our Bolton office. You will work closely with a Technical Support Lawyer on strategy and liability decisions, and assist with the development of case files.

Essential experience includes handling expert reviews, evidence, and witness statements. The role demands accuracy, excellent communication, and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy claims environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage caseloads within legal service standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Ability to work within delegated authority frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of EL/PL delegated authority fixed fee cases.
• Support with strategy setting and liability decisions alongside the Technical Support Lawyer.
• Instruct Counsel/advocates and review evidence.
• Prepare cost schedules and Tomlin/Consent orders as required.
• Liaise with insured parties, claimants and witnesses; conduct witness interviews.
