Lanesra Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking an Electrical & ICA Engineer (EICA) for a Tier 1 D&B contractor delivering water and wastewater projects in the South West. Exeter or Bristol with hybrid working, you will coordinate design and produce drawings to meet safety and client specifications.

Responsibilities include creating cost-effective layouts, coordinating with other disciplines, and contributing to proposals.

Qualifications

• Understanding the principles of water and sewage treatment.
• Design experience of water and sewage treatment plants.
• Membership of a professional institution.
• Preferred: Engineering degree in Electrical or ICA.
• Minimum: Engineering HND with extensive experience.
• Ability to rationalise designs and produce economical plant layouts.
• Strong data handling and computer literacy.

• Coordinate designs with other disciplines internal and external.
• Provide estimates and feedback for Proposals department.
• Follow procedures and processes to develop the department.
• Assist in developing and monitoring procedures and processes.

Job description

Position: Electrical & ICA Engineer (EICA)

Location: Exeter or Bristol (Hybrid Working)

Salary Guide: £55,000 Plus Excellent Package

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for South West Water and Bristol Water and they are recruiting for an EICA Engineer to help deliver these projects.

Reporting to the EICA Discipline Lead in this role you will provide superior quality engineering design services to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. You will co-ordinate the design and produce design documents and drawings taking due account of health and safety requirements, specifications and standards pertaining to the contract.

Responsibilities will include:

• Produce design layouts which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
• Ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible.
• Provide estimates and feedback for Proposals department.
• Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
• Assist in developing and monitoring procedures and processes.
• Ensure coordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external in order to ensure that the design processes carried out on the contract are co-ordinated for the benefit of the contract as a whole.
• To work within a culture where satisfying the customer is recognised as the key to achieving other objectives, and that customers include everyone receiving benefit from our processes, whether end users or other departments within the company.

• Membership of a professional institution
• Preferable: Relevant discipline Engineering degree in Electrical or ICA
• Minimum: Relevant discipline Engineering HND with extensive suitable experience.
• Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic plant layouts
• A flexible mind, with the ability to assimilate large amounts of different data at one time
• Computer literacy
