Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies in the United Kingdom & Ireland seeks an experienced EHS & Sustainability leader to set and deliver the UK&I agenda across retail and office estates. You will own the regional framework, drive compliance, waste reduction, and sustainability programmes while partnering with Retail, Facilities, Procurement and Brands to embed EHS into daily operations.

With NEBOSH qualification and 5+ years in EHS, you will implement KPI-based oversight, lead audits, manage incidents

Qualifications

• Minimum recognised NEBOSH qualification.
• 5+ years in EHS/environmental/sustainability with compliance experience.
• Knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation relevant to retail/office.
• Experience with waste governance and sustainability delivery; EPR knowledge preferred.
• Experience supporting multi-site dispersed estate; retail experience a bonus.
• Experience developing and maintaining EHS management systems; ISO 14001/45001 desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication; ability to influence and drive action.
• Experience in incident investigation and corrective action management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver UK&I EHS and sustainability strategy for retail and office estate.
• Own regional EHS management framework with current policies and guidance.
• Lead environmental compliance focusing on waste, resource efficiency and recycling.
• Coordinate UK&I response to EPR requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Define accountabilities and integrate EHS into operations, projects and supplier arrangements.
• Assess EHS risks and implement proportionate controls across the estate.
• Establish KPI and assurance framework for compliance, incidents and sustainability.
• Lead audits, inspections and corrective action closure across sites.
• Oversee training, communications and engagement to strengthen EHS culture.
• Lead,coach and develop the EHS team aligned to business priorities.
