The EHS Site Team Leader will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards at the Bohemia, NY facility. This role emphasizes fostering a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement within the organization.


As an individual contributor, you will need to flex your influencing skills and give direction indirectly as you lead projects across the organization. This position offers a career path to senior leadership and reports to the Senior EHS Manager, overseeing both the Bohemia, NY and Pompano Beach, FL facilities.


You would be a good candidate if you have led the EHS function at a smaller site or played a significant subject matter expert role influencing senior leaders to find the right solutions for the business. Strong project management and problem-solving skills are critical.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide day-to-day EHS support at manufacturing sites and fixed facilities.
  2. Develop and oversee all aspects of EHS training and documentation.
  3. Implement company EHS programs, including developing methods, procedures, and policies based on guidelines.
  4. Monitor compliance programs and analyze company metrics for improvement.
  5. Investigate EHS incidents using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  6. Manage site safety concerns in partnership with operational leaders.
  7. Manage hazardous, universal, and non-hazardous waste programs.
  8. Manage air inventory permitted programs.
  9. Manage SPEDES wastewater and stormwater programs.
  10. Provide support across all shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 8 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related EHS experience, including conducting safety audits, investigations, risk assessments, and implementing safety programs.
Additional Information
  • This role requires U.S. citizenship due to technical data restrictions.
  • The internal title will be equivalent to an EHS Specialist.
Desired Characteristics
  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with EPA, DOT, OSHA, and NFPA regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Gensuite EHS Tool.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, project management, and self-motivation skills.
Benefits & Compensation

Competitive benefits include health insurance from day one, generous 401(k), tuition reimbursement, life and disability insurance, and more. The base pay range is $96,700 - $135,000, with potential bonuses. The posting closes on 5/5/2025.
