Job summary

The City of Fort Worth’s Water Safety Section seeks a Safety Specialist / Occupational Health & Safety professional to protect a workforce of over 1,000 across water and wastewater facilities, construction sites, and field operations. This role strengthens safety culture and ensures OSHA compliance through hazard assessments, investigations, and training.

The ideal candidate has construction safety or utility EHS experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Business or Public Administration or related field (required).
• At least 3 years of safety/health audits or inspections experience.
• Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility-wide safety and environmental health projects and train personnel.
• Research and interpret safety standards and policies for the utility.
• Oversee divisional safety and health program audits and ensure corrective actions.
