Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking an Environment, Health and Safety Manager for the UK site. You will act as the site appointed person, leading the EHS team to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with legal requirements.

Shifts are Monday to Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm and Friday 8:00am–4:00pm, with a one hour lunch. You will develop the EHS culture and partner with leadership to implement policies and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Degree level or NEBOSH qualification required.
• IOSH membership or equivalent with CPD demonstrated.
• Experience in an EHS management role and driving change.
• Knowledge of Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU H&S legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update EHS policies, procedures and documentation and training.
• Ensure all EHS documents comply with legal requirements and group policy.
• Collaborate on EHS projects and lead the EHS team to meet site requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and safe systems of work as required.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors and lead when needed.
• Arrange, carry out and document EHS meetings and audits.
• Oversee incident investigation/reporting and near-miss reviews.
• Chair Health & Safety Committee and submit safety reports.
• Raise safety/environment Capex requests and advise on legislation.
• Support managers with Safe Systems of Work and incident management.
