About the Role

Hays Health & Safety is excited to be working with a growing, environmentally conscious company in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.

If you are an EHS expert with experience as an Advisor/Manager in an intense manufacturing setting, looking for additional responsibilities and scope to potentially grow into a global role, then this is the role for you.

The Role
  1. Build a strong safety culture within the UK operation, with responsibility for producing the EHS training guide and supporting on EHS strategy.
  2. Define and prevent risks for employees and guests, partnering with HR and site management to limit risks on site.
  3. Meet all EHS reporting requirements and achieve ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications by developing audit programmes and sustainability reports.
  4. Investigate all incidents related to EHS and implement necessary corrective actions.
  5. Support site teams to improve EHS performance by fostering a behavioural-led culture.
What You Will Need
  • A Degree or equivalent qualification in occupational safety.
  • Experience in an engineering/manufacturing setting as a Health and Safety Manager/Advisor.
  • Must have a valid driving licence.
  • Extensive environmental knowledge, ideally with an environmental qualification.
