Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment Ltd. in Halifax is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead EHS strategy for a major UK food manufacturing site. The role demands NEBOSH Diploma, strong leadership, and proven capability in ISO 45001/14001 compliance and continuous improvement.

You will drive safety culture, manage audits and regulator engagement, and develop site-wide priorities to protect over 500 staff across the operation.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level H&S qualification
• Experience in FMCG or Food Manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and ability to drive compliance and improvement
• Strong leadership and ability to influence behaviours and coach managers

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's EHS strategy and drive a strong safety-first culture
• Define and develop site-wide EHS priorities and improvement opportunities
• Deliver EHS systems and training to empower leaders to own safety and environmental performance
• Raise standards through audits, regulatory collaboration and external partnerships
