Job summary

HSE Recruitment is seeking an experienced EHS Consultant for a six-month contract based in Greater Manchester, with the role largely onsite in Bury. The position offers a day rate of £450–£480 via umbrella, inside IR35, for a full-time temporary assignment.

You will review existing EHS arrangements, strengthen policies and systems, and address occupational hygiene and PPE provisions. The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience and proactive stakeholder communication to deliver measurable

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on EHS experience in manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Proactive, independent worker with effective stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Review existing EHS arrangements and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen policies and systems.
• Assess occupational hygiene, wellbeing and PPE provision.
• Manage chemical safety risks in a manufacturing setting.
• Support environmental management initiatives.
• Review risk assessments and site safety practices.
• Collaborate with employees and operations to embed EHS practices.
• Occasional visits to a small warehouse and head office.
