Job summary

The role oversees EHS governance, compliance and continual improvement across the site, ensuring UK legislative alignment and management system standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified in occupational health and safety, environmental management or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of UK EHS legislation and management system standards.
• Experience developing EHS management systems, audits and risk registers.
• Experience with regulatory liaison, incident investigation and senior management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and continual improvement of the EHS Management System (ISO 14001/ISO 45001 aligned).
• Manage EHS programmes and risk assessments across the site (COSHH, DSEAR, CDM 2015, PUWER, LOLER, fire safety, permit to work).
• Lead or support incident, accident and environmental investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental compliance including permitting, emissions, waste management and regulatory submissions.
• Provide EHS governance for projects, contractors and change activities with RAMS and change management.
• Develop EHS performance reporting and dashboards using data trends to drive improvements.
• Manage EHS training and engagement to foster a positive safety culture.
