Job summary

The Oil and Pipelines Agency is seeking an EHS Advisor to be based on site at Finnart OFD, Helensburgh. You will act as the SME to Depot and Project Managers, ensuring the site operates safely, sustainably, and in line with UK regulations.

The role covers occupational health, safety, environmental and risk management, incident investigation, auditing of contractor activity, and the implementation of the Safety Management System to advance COMAH compliance.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with NEBOSH qualifications and minimum 2 years’ experience in health and safety in a COMAH regulated environment.
• Knowledge of CDM and MAH-related regulatory aspects.
• Strong auditing, risk assessment, and incident investigation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSSE advice to site leads on technical, occupational health and process safety matters.
• Support CDM implementation and regulatory compliance at the site.
• Assist ongoing site initiatives and projects to improve safety and environmental performance.
• Support safety and environmental management systems (SMS/EMS) per ISO standards; report HSSE performance data.
