Job summary

Bradford Council is seeking 4 EHCP Officers to join SEND Integrated Assessment Team. The role centres on processing Education, Health and Care Assessments from referral to final EHCPs and providing essential administrative support.

Officers will initiate EHCA requests via the SEND Online Portal, request and process Stage 1 and Stage 2 advice, and issue drafts and final EHCPs. The role involves coordinating with families, schools and health professionals, and working on a hybrid pattern with

Qualifications

• Admin-focused role within SENDIAT.
• Processing EHCP assessments from referral to final EHCP.
• Initiating EHCA requests and handling advice stages.

Responsibilities

• Processing of Education, Health and Care Assessments from referral, to the point of issuing the Final EHCP.
• Initiating EHCA requests via our SEND Online Portal, or by other means, on our database.
• Requesting and processing Stage 1 and Stage 2 advice.
• Issuing of Draft and Final EHCPs.
• Provide administrative support to SEND locality teams, and the Complex & Vulnerable Team.
• Training new EHCP Officers within the group and supporting policy changes.
• Responsible for ensuring daily post received is dealt with in line with SEND Code of Practice.
• Deal effectively with visits, telephone calls, correspondence and complaints from parents, other agencies, and support services.
• Ensuring that documents produced and distributed by SEND Integrated Assessment Team are accurate and high quality.
