Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd seeks an EHCP Learning Support Assistant to help post-16 learners with additional needs access their programme and build confidence. You will support learners with EHCPs and contribute to a calm, inclusive learning environment.

Working within a supportive team, you will tailor your approach to each learner, helping them develop skills, independence and engagement in their studies. Experience with SEND in education or community settings is valued.

• Experience of supporting young people with SEND in an education, care or community setting.
• A patient, adaptable and learner-centred approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Are you an experienced learning support professional who is passionate about helping post-16 learners with additional needs achieve their potential?

About the Role

As an EHCP Learning Support Assistant with a training provider, you'll support learners with Education, Health and Care Plans to access their programme, engage with their studies and build confidence in their chosen direction.

You'll draw on your knowledge and experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND), adapting your approach to the individual learner in front of you. Working within a supportive team, you'll help create a calm and inclusive environment where every learner can progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting learners with additional learning needs to access and engage with their programme.
• Working closely with learners who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
• Helping to create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Assisting learners to develop the skills, confidence and independence to succeed.

What We’re Looking For
