Job summary

Willow Grove Primary School is seeking an EHC Co-ordinator to lead the review process for EHC Plans and ensure provision is delivered in line with local authority and school duties.

You will work with the LA and other professionals, chair multi-agency meetings, and support staff in developing robust procedures and reporting progress at reviews. An enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Level 5 qualification, or evidence of working towards one, or equivalent relevant experience in an SEN setting.
• Experience working with children with SEN, in school or other relevant settings.
• Experience chairing and leading multi-agency meetings

Responsibilities

• Lead the review process for EHC Plans, ensuring the special educational provision is delivered in line with LA and school legal duties
• Work with the LA and professional agencies to resolve issues and disagreements, including representing the school in formal disagreement resolution or mediation
• Liaise with senior leaders, teachers, administrative staff, the LA SEND team and other professionals to develop a robust school procedure
• Ensure progress towards EHC outcomes is reported fully at review meetings and amend EHC Plans as necessary
• Contribute to designing and developing new processes, procedures and ways of working
• Advise class staff on best practice in writing summative reports for annual reviews of EHC Plans, in liaison with the Senior Leadership Team
