Job summary

Cloudflare is hiring for an Egress Engineer in London. You will contribute to a cutting‑edge network software infrastructure used across Cloudflare products, including WARP and iCloud Private Relay.

You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to translate requirements into platform capabilities, and work with Network Engineering and SRE to optimize performance on Cloudflare’s edge network. You will design and implement features, write code and tests, participate in deployments, and help

Qualifications

3+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, owning architecture of complex, distributed systems.
Proficiency in Go or Rust and willingness to improve in both.
Solid grasp of networking protocols (OSI Layers 3-4).
Knowing HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
Experience building secure, highly available distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Make daily progress on engineering tasks: design systems, write specs, code, and release plans.
Participate in daily/ad-hoc team meetings to share progress.
Join on-call rotation to ensure production uptime.
Investigate customer issues escalated to the Egress team.
Respond to questions in internal/public chat channels.
Use AI-powered tools to analyze codebases and production data.
