Job Description:

Cera are recruiting Care Assistants for our Extra Care service in Okehampton. We are hiring for both part-time and full-time permanent positions, including days and nights. It offers secure work with good pay, excellent training, and no previous experience is required.

Extra Care units provide residents with self-contained living spaces within a larger building, with access to care staff based within the unit who provide care tailored to each resident. As a care assistant, you will support residents with varying needs, helping them live as independently as possible through personalized care and support plans.

Each client’s needs are unique. Your tasks may include assisting with housework, helping with morning routines, preparing meals, providing companionship, assisting with medication, or helping with washing and dressing. More than just a caregiver, you will become a friend, offering human company, encouragement, and perhaps a laugh or two, especially when life feels tough. While caring can be challenging, many families will be grateful for your support.

  • Pay is structured in block shifts with no travel during shifts.
  • Shift options include Days (7am-3pm), Evenings (3pm-10pm), and Nights (8pm-8am).
