Position: Field Service Technician

Location: Hertford store

Basic Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Perform diagnostic and repair work on agricultural and turf equipment, including Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
2. Disassemble, assemble, and repair components and machines.
3. Complete all service tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
4. Prepare documentation of work performed on repair orders.
5. Report additional work needs to the Service Manager to ensure safe operation for the customer.
6. Participate in training programs as directed.
7. Track all time and materials used during work.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
9. Report issues with tools, equipment, or vehicles that are unsafe or in disrepair.
10. Follow all safety rules and regulations.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in service repairs.
• Ability to diagnose and document work on repair orders.
• Proficient with engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiar with diagnostic equipment and computers.
• Ability to read safety and maintenance manuals.
• Capable of performing basic repairs with proper tools and procedures.
• Effective communication skills with customers.
• Valid driver’s license for driving situations.
• Ability to operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
• Must possess a personal set of tools.

Physical Demands:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mobility including squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, standing, and sitting.
• Visual acuity for detailed work and screen use.
• Occasional driving over short and long distances.
• Dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
• Work environment includes medium to high noise levels.
