Job Opportunity: Qualified Science Teacher in Derby

Our client, based in Derby, is committed to maintaining the highest standards in all aspects of their work. Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to instruct KS3 and KS4 students. The role involves delivering and planning lessons to GCSE standards. It is scheduled to start after Easter and continue until the end of the academic year. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday.

Position Details:

• Location: Derby
• Position: QTS Science Teacher
• Type of Work: KS3/4 GCSE
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Long-term, ongoing
• Contract Type: Temporary
• Working Days: 5 days a week
• Pay Rate: GBP 160 – GBP 230 per day
• Hours: 8:15 am - 3:30 pm (term time only)

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or be an NQT with experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels.
• Experience in a school setting, either permanent or supply cover.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (a free course can be undertaken through Prospero Teaching).

Eligibility:

• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Two professional child-related references.
