Job Summary

Main Duties of the Job
  1. Maintain and repair a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical, Medical Plant & Equipment, and Building faults.
  2. Deputise for Team Leaders.
  3. Undertake roles such as Authorised Person/Competent Person, e.g., Legionella, medical gases pipeline systems, electrical safety, ventilation, or deputy responsible person as required.
  4. Coordinate with approved Contractors for maintenance, breakdowns, and repairs.
  5. Be included in the On-Call Rota to meet emergency and urgent situations outside core hours.
  6. Manage major incidents like loss of electrical services, medical gases, heating, and hot water to critical areas.
  7. Assist in motivating, training, and developing the maintenance team and apprentices, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  8. Perform planned maintenance and repairs of Mechanical and Electrical plant, equipment, and services.
  9. Escalate calls to team leaders or Contractors for breakdowns and repairs.
  10. Plan and prioritize work effectively.
