Job description

Become a Lead Administrator with purpose, where your contribution helps change people's lives. Join Arbury Court in Warrington as a Lead Administrator and be valued and supported.

The role involves directing the operational service of the administration function, ensuring it provides cost-effective Reception, Secretarial, Medical Records, and other administrative services to the units.

You will support and supervise the service's administrative needs, including managing the reception, secretarial services, supervising the Mental Health Act department, and coordinating staffing across all administration areas such as secretarial, MHA, CPA, Resourcing, HR, Finance, Ward Administration, Complaints, and Visitor Liaison.

Working with senior staff, you will manage staff absences, maintain personnel files, and produce audits.

As a Lead Administrator, you will be:
  • Supervising the reception service to ensure high-quality, customer-focused service for patients, relatives, staff, and external organizations. Ensuring systems like Doors, Traka, Blicks, Key, and CCTV are operational and compliant with policies.
  • Supervising the secretarial service to provide confidential support to clinical and support departments.
  • Monitoring and reviewing service quality, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Controlling departmental expenditure within budget.
  • Managing internal and external postal systems.
To be successful, you should have:
  • Experience in secretarial and/or HR administration
  • NVQ III Business Administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Word processing skills (50 wpm), preferably Microsoft Word
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of office equipment including fax, photocopier, and telephone systems
