Job description

Equans is looking for a Mobile Plumber to join our team in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, based on a two-week rotating shift pattern of 6am - 2pm & 10am - 6pm, Monday to Friday. There is also an on-call rota. On offer is a salary of up to £35,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience, a company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

• Carry out planned preventable maintenance (PPM) on plumbing, and all water systems; plant and equipment in accordance with the PPM programme
• Respond in a timely manner to breakdown requests
• Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings
• Assist with installation works involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works
• Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner
• Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers' guidelines
• Carry out on call duties as part of a rota

Who are you?

• Recognised apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
• Legionella awareness
• Valid driving licence
• School/commercial experience is beneficial
• Effective communication skills as you will be working in operational sites, where your awareness will be tested
• Prepared to work out of hours as necessary

This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
