An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Inquest Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a well-established regional law firm, with over 20 offices across Yorkshire. The Role:

You will join a dedicated inquest team, taking on a caseload that includes high-profile and Article 2 inquests, many of which are Legal Aid funded. The role offers the chance to work on complex, meaningful cases and to make a real impact on the lives of clients during incredibly difficult times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients at inquests, including complex Article 2 proceedings
  • Provide expert guidance on Legal Aid Agency (LAA) funding and alternative funding options
  • Conduct comprehensive case investigations and prepare detailed written submissions
  • Liaise effectively with coroners, clients and various stakeholders
  • Deliver outstanding levels of client service and uphold best practices in legal representation

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a strong track record in inquest law
  • In-depth knowledge of Article 2 inquests and LAA processes
  • Excellent advocacy and client communication skills
  • Able to manage cases independently while contributing to team success
  • Demonstrates empathy, diligence and commitment to client-focused service
