Global Logistics Coordinator

Location: 4730 N Service Dr, Winona, MN 55987

Shift: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm, 10-28 hours/week

Overview:

As a Part-time Global Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in executing Fastenal's global logistics program. Your responsibilities include managing inbound shipments into North America, supporting container tracking, scheduling air and ocean shipments, working with Trade Compliance to ensure smooth cargo entry, and tracking metrics for program success. You may also coordinate outbound international shipments, including obtaining quotations and supporting other business units. The position offers flexible scheduling after onboarding, training, and performance milestones.

Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate timely and cost-effective delivery of international shipments within North America.
2. Collaborate with overseas logistics teams to troubleshoot and resolve shipment issues.
3. Track key metrics and report regularly to stakeholders on shipment statuses.
4. Coordinate communication and strategies with steamship lines, trucking companies, and distribution centers for inbound and outbound shipments.
5. Assist the Accounts Payable team with billing, cost auditing, and charge routing.
6. Support the Trade Compliance team with container visibility, customs clearance, and routing through ports and rail yards.

Required Qualifications:

• Administrative/customer service experience or industry knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong math skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
• Motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented.
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
