Senior Ecologist

Brighton | Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

We are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join a dynamic team in Brighton!

This role involves working with a diverse range of clients, including some of the largest house-builders in the UK, within a network of over 30 experienced professionals.

This multi-disciplinary consultancy offers opportunities to collaborate with specialists in landscape, urban design, and heritage, supporting your broader understanding of development projects, ecology, and biodiversity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting junior staff and assisting the lead ecologist in project delivery.
  • Leading protected species surveys and overseeing PEAs, EcIAs, HRAs, and BNG assessments.
  • Preparing technical drawings using QGIS.

Requirements:

  • Experience conducting protected species surveys (survey licences are advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of wildlife legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
