Child Health at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer an opportunity to join as a Staff Nurse on Sophie's Place.

As an integrated service, we pride ourselves on delivering healthcare at the point of need and are one of the few such organized services within the UK.

Sophie’s Place

Located on the Winchester site, Sophie’s Place is an Ambulatory Care Unit where children requiring specialist Paediatric Consultation can be seen and assessed. These children are referred from GPs, Emergency Department, Community Children’s nurses, School Nurses, and Health Visitors.

At HHFT, we offer a comprehensive orientation package and professional support tailored to your needs, along with ongoing support from the Clinical Education Team to help you achieve your full potential. We also provide dedicated QIS / Child learning opportunities, often linked to the wider network, to enhance your professional development.

Role Responsibilities

1. Maintain high standards of Professional Practice to ensure quality and safety of patient care, experience, and the patient journey.
2. Develop your clinical practice, knowledge, skills, and experience.
3. Act as a good role model.
4. Support the team to deliver high-quality clinical services and ensure compliance with requirements such as CQC and contractual obligations.
5. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments using investigative and analytical skills, including analysis and interpretation of factors to achieve effective treatment or discharge planning.
6. Develop clinically reasoned treatment, action, and discharge plans, and evaluate treatment outcomes.
