An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Community Mental Health Nurse (Band 5 -6 Development Post) to join our Assessment and Treatment Service in Chichester. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment, treatment, and care to a caseload of individuals with various mental health issues from the local community. We seek enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible candidates who can work effectively within a team and demonstrate a commitment to the recovery model.
Our vision is to provide outstanding care and treatment, with our staff at the heart of this goal. If you have the passion, belief, drive, and talent to help us achieve this, we would like to hear from you.
We understand that starting your first role as a clinician can be both exciting and daunting. That's why we offer our Preceptorship Academy, designed to support newly qualified clinicians during their transition through supervision, assessment, and confidence-building over the first 12 months.
To safeguard everyone, we encourage our staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Chichester Assessment and Treatment Service is a dynamic community mental health team supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health challenges. You will manage a caseload within a recovery-focused model, promoting positive coping strategies to maximize independence. Collaboration with a diverse team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, support workers, and third sector partners, is integral to this role.
We value involvement with Experts by Experience, families, and friends, especially those with co-production experience. As community mental health services undergo transformation, your role will be central in driving these changes alongside primary and third sector colleagues.
Recognizing the stresses of mental health work, we prioritize staff wellbeing through supervision, reflective practice, mentoring, and other support mechanisms.
If you are a newly qualified nurse or a Band 5 with previous mental health experience eager to develop into a community mental health practitioner, we welcome your application and are happy to discuss development opportunities.
We encourage flexible working to promote a healthy work-life balance, which benefits both staff and the quality of care provided. Please speak with us about flexible arrangements.
