Software Engineer - Hybrid working in Brighton

Up to £65k per annum plus excellent benefits

Stratospherec is delighted to be recruiting for a world-leading eCommerce digital platform company. They have their main software development team in Brighton, with additional offices in the USA and across Europe.

The company is expanding one of their core development teams responsible for key parts of their eCommerce platform.

We are seeking a Software Engineer with a preference for back-end development and skills in Python, Java, Golang, Node.js, or similar technologies. This is a mid-level role requiring candidates with over 3 years of commercial software development experience to join their Brighton team.

This role involves working 2 days in the Brighton office and 3 days remotely each week. The salary is up to £65k, complemented by an excellent employee benefits package.

Role Responsibilities

• Building Python server applications within a service-oriented architecture.
• Deploying applications to Kubernetes.
• Following innersource principles for code ownership and contribution.

Skills Needed

• Minimum 3 years of commercial software development experience.
• Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, C#, Golang, Node.js, or JavaScript.
• Back-end development experience.
• Willingness to learn Python and develop in TDD and OO environments.
• Experience managing Git workflows.
• Understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with Docker for building and running images.
