Our services include Acute Services, Corporate & Property & Support Services, and integrated primary healthcare and social care through North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships.

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified pharmacy professional to provide pharmaceutical technical services across all sections of the pharmacy department. Responsibilities include ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely supply of discharge and outpatient prescriptions, pharmaceutical stock, and non-stock supplies to wards and departments.

Requirements
  • National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Dispensary checking or aseptic checking qualification
  • Participation in Continuing Professional Development (mandatory)
  • Experience in ward/department stock management
  • Understanding of hospital pharmacy services
  • Training in aseptic and cytotoxic drug reconstitution/manipulation
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and prioritization skills; team player
  • Participation in weekend and public holiday working
  • Full UK/EU/EEA driving license (if applicable)
Contract Details

Fixed term / Secondment for 12 months, full-time (37 hours/week).

Location: University Hospital Hairmyres

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
