Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Haemato-oncology Nurse to advance their career within a nurse-led outpatient haemato-oncology service. This is a fixed-term position to cover a secondment until 31st March 2026.

About the Collingwood Centre

The Collingwood Centre is a day unit at Colchester Hospital providing malignant and non-malignant treatments to Haemato-oncology patients. The unit relies on nursing expertise to assess and administer treatments safely and efficiently.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Competent in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT).
  2. Expand knowledge of SACT, develop leadership, communication skills, and professional growth in a busy but supportive environment.
  3. Support ward sisters in leading and developing the nursing team.
  4. Provide inspirational leadership, act as a credible role model, and foster a positive, welcoming environment.
  5. Demonstrate well-developed communication, change management, and organisational skills.
  6. Be caring, compassionate, forward-thinking, well-organized, and adaptable to change.
Working Hours

Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 18:00.
