Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse - Collingwood Centre

Join to apply for the Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse - Collingwood Centre role at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Haemato-oncology Nurse to advance their career. This fixed-term position, covering a secondment until 31st March 2026, offers the chance to join a nurse-led outpatient haemato-oncology service. The Collingwood centre, a day unit at Colchester Hospital, provides malignant and non-malignant treatments to Haemato-oncology patients, relying on nursing expertise for safe and efficient care.

The ideal candidate will be competent in administering Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT). You will have the opportunity to expand your SACT knowledge, develop leadership, communication skills, and grow professionally in a busy yet supportive learning environment.

This role involves working within our unit hours of Monday – Friday, 08.00 – 18.00. We seek passionate individuals committed to developing cancer services and supporting our mission.

Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be considered on a secondment basis only.

You will support ward sisters in leading and developing the nursing team, providing inspirational leadership, effective communication, and acting as a credible role model. The role requires well-developed organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Candidates should be caring, compassionate, forward-thinking, well-organized, and adaptable to change.
