This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Food and Nutrition department at the University of Reading, one of the UK’s top 10 Universities for Food Science. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers and academics on research into indoor farmed lettuce, focusing on making indoor farming more efficient and sustainable.
The position involves supporting research in analytical chemistry, including sample processing and techniques such as LCMS and GCMS, with training provided. Responsibilities include data collation for research publications, with opportunities to be a named author.
Requirements include a degree in food sciences, nutritional sciences, agricultural sciences, chemistry, or related fields, or practical experience in analytical chemistry. Laboratory experience and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office are also necessary.
