The University of Reading is seeking an Analytical Chemistry Technician to join its Food and Nutrition department. This exciting role offers the chance to join the Food and Nutrition department at the University of Reading, one of the UK’s top 10 Universities for Food Science. You will collaborate with researchers and academics on pioneering research into the chemistry of indoor farmed lettuce, aiming to enhance efficiency and sustainability in indoor farming.
We are seeking a technician with an analytical chemistry background to support the project titled ‘Optimising Genetics by Management (GxM) Interactions to Enhance Productivity and Quality in Indoor Lettuce Cultivation’. Key responsibilities include sample processing and analytical techniques such as LCMS and GCMS, with additional methods like ion chromatography and enzyme analysis as needed. You will compile data for research publications, with training provided for specific equipment and techniques.
